Author’s Reflection
“Hit That FreeSpirit”
“Hit That FreeSpirit” was written to be fun, loud, and full of energy. This song is about letting go, feeling good, and creating a moment that people can move to. I wanted it to be the kind of track that makes someone turn the volume up, grab their phone, and say, “I can make a dance to this.”
This song is different from some of my deeper, darker music. It is not about staying in the pain. It is about freedom, confidence, and joy. It is about stepping into the beat and letting your body take over. After writing songs about trauma, survival, and healing, I wanted to create something that felt like release — something bright, bold, and made for movement.
“Hit That FreeSpirit” is built for a dance challenge. The lyrics are meant to be easy to follow, easy to remember, and fun to perform. Step left, step right, drop, clap, spin, pose — it gives people room to make it their own while still keeping that FreeSpirit energy.
For me, this song represents the side of FreeSpirit Music that wants to celebrate. The part of me that still knows how to laugh, dance, shine, and bring people together. It is proof that my music does not always have to come from darkness. Sometimes it can come from feeling good and wanting everybody else to feel good too.
This song is for the kids, the dancers, the creators, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone who wants to feel confident, free, and alive. It is not just a song — it is a vibe, a challenge, and a moment.
“Hit That FreeSpirit” is me turning the energy all the way up.
No fear.
No shame.
Just movement, confidence, and FreeSpirit on the beat.
