“LIGHT ME UP”
“LIGHT ME UP” was written from a place of energy, freedom, and wanting to feel alive again. After so many songs born from pain, trauma, and darkness, this song gives me room to breathe. It is about that spark that comes back when something — or someone — reminds you that you are still capable of feeling joy, passion, confidence, and light.
For me, this song is about more than just being upbeat. It is about being awakened from the inside. Sometimes life, pain, and survival can make you feel dimmed down, like the brightest parts of you have been buried under everything you have been through. “LIGHT ME UP” is the sound of those parts coming back to life.
Writing this song felt like stepping out of the shadows and letting myself move again. It carries a dance energy because sometimes healing does not come through crying — sometimes it comes through movement, rhythm, and letting your body remember it is still alive. The beat becomes a release. The music becomes a celebration. The light becomes a reminder that darkness did not win.
“LIGHT ME UP” is also about connection. It can be love, desire, confidence, music, or the feeling of finally being seen by someone who brings warmth back into your world. It is sensual, uplifting, and full of life. It says, “I have been through the dark, but I still know how to shine.”
This song is for anyone who has ever felt their fire go out and needed something to bring it back. It is for the survivors who are ready to dance again, the lovers who make each other feel alive, and the dreamers who refuse to stay buried.
“LIGHT ME UP” is my reminder that I am not only my pain. I am also my passion. I am also my joy. I am also the spark that survived.
