“Turn It Up Now” was written as a high-energy celebration song — the kind of track that tells you to stop holding back, feel the beat, and let yourself come alive. After writing so much music from pain, trauma, and survival, this song gives me a different kind of release. It is about movement, confidence, freedom, and choosing joy without apology.

For me, this song is about turning the volume up on life. Not just the music, but the part of myself that wants to dance, laugh, shine, and be seen. Sometimes survival is quiet, but sometimes survival needs bass. Sometimes healing is not about sitting still with the pain — sometimes healing is stepping onto the dance floor and remembering that my body still belongs to me.

“Turn It Up Now” carries the energy of nightlife, pride, and freedom. It is made for the people who have been through darkness but still know how to move. It is for the LGBTQ+ community, the survivors, the dreamers, and anyone who has ever needed one song to make them feel powerful again.

Writing this song reminded me that I am not only my wounds. I am also my energy. I am also my rhythm. I am also the part of me that refuses to stay quiet when the music starts. This song is not about pretending life is perfect. It is about giving myself permission to celebrate anyway.
